DAY'S LAMENT

Verse:

Have a minute can I talk to you
Can't pretend I was walking with you
What a friend, let ‘em shame your name
I didn't end, every lie they sang
I let it land on a listening crowd
What a man, couldn't stand but I blend in, oh my
Falling so far, I couldn’t see your light
You are the part of me that
Gave me the heart to be
A lover of harmony in your sight
Dunamis power man, dynamite
Might be the distance why resistance want let me peak
Question existence when I'm testimony
I thought I hated the church but now

I see that the seed in me it goes deep, I weep
Can't sleep on what I am, no more
So when I pray I hope you hear me Lord

Chorus:

You and me, Family

Your mistakes, I don't see

In my death, you are free

Just believe that,

I still love you I still love you

Verse 2:
Knock knock knock knock
Right on your door, I'm here Lord
And I'm prostrate on the floor
I fear Lord, that I made so many other gods
Look to women, look to people
And I'm very shocked
That you didn't strike my down
When I'm all over town, and doin me
For another round and go round
Of being free, Uh
I fell asleep in my car so much
Started driving and I didn't wake up
Auto pilot but the pilot was you
I wasn't sleeping enough
Satan took me on a ride with the passenger Knight
Had a plan to get me bruised like the passion of Christ
Could've saw me in the news but you holding me tight
When i regain my sight in the middle of the road
I was doing 35, fear hit my soul, Uh
Started thinking death and where would I go
Started thanking you, eyes closed

Chorus:

You and me, Family

Your mistakes, I don't see

In my death, you are free

Just believe that,

I still love you I still love you

Verse 3:
Lord, I’m a Christian by day
But a sinner by Knight
Read the Bible but the centerfold nice
I know it's pitiful and many say it ain't right
Stuck to the flesh, skinny jeans too tight
Try to lay it down, it's like that bike
Won't ride for a while but could still take flight
Livin on the wild side, helmet in the closet
Acting like my hands tide that's my plight, uh
And yes I it’s been so long
Running from my peace, running from my home
Tide to a leash so I never far roam
Like a dog when it ran away now he gone
kneeling at the throne, in the secret place Lord
Keep falling on my face, need grace more
Like a race horse, I will stay course if ride me
Put the bid where my mouth is guide me

Chorus:

You and me, Family

Your mistakes, I don't see

In my death, you are free

Just believe that,

I still love you I still love you
